Journalist Steven Crowder, the host of the podcast “Louder with Crowder” who re-enacted what happened to George Floyd, did another re-enactment of the incident in Minneapolis. The re-enactment was a response to author Don Winslow’s tweet that claims “NOT A THREAT. Look at the wheel.”
Crowder donned a body cam with a wide-angle lens and used an unloaded Kel-Tec pistol for the re-enactment, while Josh Firestein drove the vehicle. Crowder stood in front of the vehicle in the position where Ross was standing, and not only was Crowder hit by the vehicle, but the camera shows the officer could not have seen the orientation of the tires.

In the wide angle shot, it is clear that even if the officer had been looking down, the tires would not be visible. And the officer would not have been looking down, they would have been looking at the suspect, making it even more implausible that the officer would have seen the orientation of the tires.
Crowder emphasized that the officer had 0.79 seconds to make the decision to fire their weapon and that Ross would not have been able to see the direction of the tires when he was hit.
