President Trump’s approval rating is underwater. Polls consistently show GOP candidates having a great deal of difficulty, even in safe GOP areas. We can debate the accuracy of the polls, and the potential of deliberate meddling by polling agencies (and this has happened before, a prime example being the 2024 Iowa poll by J. Ann Selzer). However, that is not the purpose of this article.
The purpose of this article is to convince all who oppose gay race communism, but are angry with President Trump, to go out and vote straight-party Republican this election cycle. The reasons many are not pleased with the President are understandable: the Iran War, high gas prices, and less progress than hoped for in tearing down the odious apparatus of the deep state.
In a situation such as this, I am reminded of a scene from the film Glory, in which Private Trip (played by Denzel Washington) asks Colonel Shaw (played by Matthew Broderick) what winning the Civil War means for him. Private Trip asks this at a time when the Union cause was categorically not about equal rights, but about keeping the Union together. Shaw answers Trip with devastating candor: “You will get nothing if we lose.”
President Trump is not on the ballot this election cycle, as much as he may claim otherwise. What is on the ballot is Communism vs Freedom. It is often said that the only difference between a moderate Muslim and an extremist Muslim is that a “moderate” Muslim merely wants an extremist Muslim to do his dirty work for him. The same is true this election: the only difference between a so-called “moderate” Democrat and a Communist Democrat such as James Talarico or Abdulrahman El-Sayed is that a moderate just doesn’t say the quiet part out loud: a so-called “moderate” Democrat will still vote in lockstep with the extremist wing of his party.
I understand your frustration. I am a disabled veteran who recently graduated with a master’s degree in computer science. Gas and food prices are sky high, and the only thing keeping me afloat is a small pension from the VA. The job market is still not ideal, due to many tech jobs being taken by H-1B foreigners. Things are not good.
However, if the Democrats win the midterms, we can expect all the progress President Trump has made toward saving the country to be erased. He has deported millions of illegals, gutted USAID and made serious progress in shoring up our national defense to deter China. He has toppled communist regimes in the southern hemisphere and made much progress in dismantling the deep state.
It has only been about 21 months since he became president. You cannot undo the past 40 years of corruption in America in 21 months. To undo the damage caused in the past 40 years, patriots will need to control the government, uninterrupted, for perhaps 10-20 years. It took the radical left about 60 years, from the birth of communism to the late 1970s, to corrupt our institutions. It would be absurd to think we could undo that damage in 21 months.
We all have things that we feel President Trump could be doing better. However, the solution to that is not to stay home, and it is certainly not to vote for any Democrat. In the past 21 months, patriots have made great progress in restoring the American Republic. All of that could be undone if we lose the midterms. Prices are high, and nobody has gotten everything they wanted when we supported President Trump in 2024. But we should remember that line from Glory: We will get nothing if the Republicans lose.
