ICE Houston Arrests 414 Illegal Alien Child Predators in Trump's First Year Back

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Houston arrested 414 illegal aliens accused or convicted of child sex crimes during President Donald Trump's first year back in office, according to Breitbart News. The figure nearly doubles the 211 child sex offenders arrested while illegally present during President Joe Biden's final year.

The arrested individuals were collectively responsible for 761 child sex offenses and 525 other crimes ranging from homicide to robbery, ICE reported.

"While elected officials and media pundits across the country were zealously trying to manipulate the American public with fake news stories about ICE's public safety mission, the brave men and women of ICE were quietly going about their business to arrest and remove more than 400 dangerous child predators from our local communities," said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston Acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez.

The announcement follows a separate report last week detailing arrests of illegal aliens convicted of felony drunk driving. ICE officials told Breitbart Texas that Houston officers arrested 243 criminal aliens since Trump began his second term who had three or more DWI convictions. Of those, 21 had been convicted of intoxication manslaughter by Texas courts.

Among the child sex offenders arrested during the year were several repeat border crossers with lengthy criminal histories.

Alex Samuel Lara Diaz, a 35-year-old previously deported Honduran national, was arrested in October 2025 after a conviction for aggravated sexual assault of a minor. He was also wanted in Honduras for homicide. ICE deported Lara Diaz in December 2025 and turned him over to Honduran authorities for prosecution.

Gabriel Julio Lopez Velazquez, a 25-year-old Mexican national who had illegally entered the United States four times, was arrested in April 2025. He had been convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a minor, aggravated assault, illegal entry, and twice for felony illegal reentry. ICE deported him within two days.

Juan Leonardo Garcia Ibarra, a 48-year-old Mexican national, had illegally reentered the country 12 times. His convictions included sexual indecency with a child, aggravated assault, cruelty toward a child, DWI, felony illegal reentry, and three counts of illegal entry. ICE deported him within three days of his April 2025 arrest.

Other notable arrests included Javier Perez Garcia, a 49-year-old Mexican national convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual indecency with a minor; Milton Alexander Magana Fuentes, a 32 year old Salvadoran national convicted of sexual indecency with a minor and failure to register as a sex offender; and Luis Mario Monsalve Chaux, a 52-year old Colombian national convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material and four counts of burglary.

Andrew Mark Watson, a 38-year-old from the United Kingdom convicted of two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and sexually exploiting a minor, remains in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings.

Jesus Gutierrez Mireles, a 68-year-old Mexican national deported three previous times, was arrested in March 2025 after convictions for aggravated sexual assault of a child and DWI. Jose Guadalupe Meza, a 41 year old Mexican national deported four times previously, was arrested in June 2025 for theft and sexual assault of a child. Both were removed to Mexico within days.

ICE officers received assistance from a task force that included the FBI, ATF, DEA, CBP, Diplomatic Security Services, U.S. Marshals Service, and state and local law enforcement agencies.

"Thanks to their tireless efforts, parents across Southeast Texas can sleep a little better tonight knowing that these pedophiles and child rapists are no longer a threat to their children," Martinez said.

The Houston figures demonstrate what becomes possible when immigration enforcement is treated as a priority rather than an afterthought. Yet arrests alone cannot solve a problem created by decades of open borders, catch and release policies, and sanctuary jurisdictions that shield criminals from deportation. Only a comprehensive approach that includes mandatory E-Verify, an end to chain migration and birthright citizenship, and a full immigration moratorium will permanently close the door on those who exploit America's broken system to prey on its children.
