Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas has recently been seen getting drunk in his office and allegedly getting so ossified in Mexico that the sloppy NAVY Seal is no longer allowed on foreign junkets.
But Dan’s fall from grace did not stop him from picking a fight with libertarian comedian Dave Smith, who has gained a massive following over his foreign policy debates regarding Israel and Gaza.
“This random comedian has gotten way too much attention as a pseudo-intellectual on foreign policy,” Crenshaw wrote in an X post, laughing at suggestions that podcaster Candace Owens is being threatened for her investigative reporting.
This caused Smith to respond by saying: “So then why is a sitting Congressman wasting time insulting a “random comedian?” You guys argue like middle school girls. It’s hilarious how transparently unimpressive these sick war hawks are.”
Crenshaw objected to Smith’s characterization of him as a war hawk, responding: “I waste time addressing you because unfortunately you have enough people who buy into your nonsense. Maybe you’re funnier than I thought. Labeling me a “war hawk,” lol. What war did I ever vote for, Dave? Yeah I was in college, not a Congressman. Sorry I just fought and sacrificed in those wars, so that grifters like you could sit back and safely build up conspiratorial narratives about all of it.”
This caused Smith to come back with the ultimate smackdown of Crenshaw. He said: “You fought in a catastrophic 20 year regime change war against the Taliban that FAILED and left a better armed Taliban in power. How the fuck did that make me (or any American) safer to have any opinion? Pure retard boomercon slop.”
Crenshaw does not know how to respond to the rise of the new independent media. Nobody trusts the neocons anymore, and their beliefs are considered anathema to the new age of MAGA populists, particularly those aged 40 and below. Crenshaw’s time has passed, and he would probably be better served crawling back into his bottle and continuing his insider trading grift in relative obscurity if he knows what is good for him.
