Legislation to release the Epstein Files has passed the House by an overwhelming 427-1 vote on Tuesday, with President Trump’s endorsement of the bill causing a tidal wave of support.
Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio took to the House floor where he called out Democrats for suddenly taking an interest in the Epstein Files only when they believed it would damage President Trump’s reputation.
‘We’re all voting yes to release the Epstein files… but let’s talk about why the Democrats are suddenly obsessed with Epstein after doing NOTHING for four years,” Jordan said.
“They redacted the name of a Virginia Giuffre, who already went public and testified under oath that she never saw President Trump do anything wrong. Why redact her name? Because it destroys their narrative. They’ll leak, twist, and hide anything if they think it hurts Trump, even if it means protecting the memory of Jeffrey Epstein over actual victims,” he continued.
The emails released by Democrats show that Epstein hated President Trump and the two men had been at odds for a long time. Now, President Trump has called the Democrats’ bluff and the administration has the opportunity to release files that will show Epstein’s relationships with Democrat leaders, such as former President Bill Clinton.
Former Obama Treasury Secretary Larry Summers has already been forced to retreat from public life after released email correspondences show how he remained friends with Epstein and solicited advice about his love life from Epstein years after he was convicted of soliciting sex from a minor.
“I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused,” Summers said on Monday. “I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein.”
Expect more powerful Democrats to be shamed and perhaps implicated in criminality in the weeks to come as more Epstein revelations are unearthed.
