Apple has launched their Digital ID, which allows iPhone users to use their Apple Wallet app to put personally-identifying information from their U.S. passport in order to use it as identification. They are rolling out the use of Digital ID at TSA checkpoints in over 250 airports across the country.
“With the launch of Digital ID, we’re excited to expand the ways users can store and present their identity — all with the security and privacy built into iPhone and Apple Watch,” said Jennifer Bailey, who works as Apple’s vice president of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet, in a press release.
“Since introducing the ability to add a driver’s license or state ID to Apple Wallet in 2022, we’ve seen how much users love having their ID right on their devices. Digital IDs brings this secure and convenient option to even more users across the country, as they can now add an ID to Wallet using information from their U.S. passport,” she added.
This digital ID is being pushed as convenient and is voluntary – for now. But it may be only a matter of time before these measures become compulsory, as United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer is attempting to do right now. Starmer released a plan for digital ID in September that was widely panned.
“I know working people are worried about the level of illegal migration into this country. A secure border and controlled migration are reasonable demands, and this government is listening and delivering,” Starmer said.
“Digital ID is an enormous opportunity for the UK. It will make it tougher to work illegally in this country, making our borders more secure. And it will also offer ordinary citizens countless benefits, like being able to prove your identity to access key services swiftly – rather than hunting around for an old utility bill,” he continued.
“We are doing the hard graft to deliver a fairer Britain for those who want to see change, not division. That is at the heart of our Plan for Change, which is focused on delivering for those who want to see their communities thrive again,” Starmer added.
This is how the globalists operate: they let a ton of illegal immigrants into your country, then say you need to submit to Orwellian technocracy in order to get that problem under control!
The public will likely reject the mandatory use of Digital ID, at least until there is a crisis that arises that will make it necessary. Just like what happened with COVID-19 when the public accepted tyranny that would have been unfathomable a split second before the virus hysteria hit. The digital ID might be the mark of the beast and should be rejected by all free people.
