The socialists are taking over the Democratic Party. DSA candidates such as Michigan's Abdul El-Sayed, a Muslim Brotherhood member and card carrying communist, as well as fellow Muslim socialist Zohran Mamdani, Mayor of New York City, have successfully gained enough traction to supplant more moderate Democratic Party candidates and are in the midst of a hostile takeover of the party. However, whether this internal success amongst the Democratic primaries will translate to general election success in the midterms or not has yet to be decided.
Sure, extreme left cities like San Francisco, Portland, and NYC are already lost to these radical leftists. But will factory workers and farmers across middle America embrace the candidates who openly despise them?
Representative Hillary Scholten, a moderate Democrat out of Michigan, claims that the radical left very well may cost the Democrats the midterms. She points to how embracing radically progressive policies alienates large swathes of American voters, and also points out that in many instances where DSA candidates have successfully gained representation they are already in far left districts, and beat out moderate, incumbent Democrats due to extremely low voter turnout.
This indicates that in battleground districts, she believes that DSA candidates will cost Democrats the Midterms, which many analysts and media personalities have claimed will be a massacre across the board for the Republican Party. And indeed, if the Democrats ran more moderate candidates, that may be the case. But the Liberal Establishment fears that they have unleashed their own demise by allowing such a hostile takeover by communist candidates, and that they will be unable to retake the House and Senate in November as a result.
Prominent Democratic Socialists of America candidates and supporters, such as Darializa Avila Chevalier--a New York based US congressional candidate, or streamer Hasan Piker, have openly glorified Islam and Socialism while showing clear and blatant disdain for America, Americans, and US values. Hasan dresses like mass murderer Mao Zedong. Chevalier bragged about wiping her filthy hands on an American Flag. Abdul El-Sayed supports Egypt's radical Islamic party.
These people are un-American, quite openly, and only seek power and representation in order to destroy the nation from the inside. Even the moderate and establishment liberals within their party fear them--and with good reason.
