A 23-year-old Texas gun vendor says he is facing 30 years in a Florida prison for selling a firearm accessory that has never been prosecuted under the state law used to charge him.
On September 7, 2025, undercover deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office were working the floor at the West Palm Beach Gun Show when they received a tip about a vendor selling bump stocks, also referred to as force reset triggers, from a booth. The devices are designed to allow semi automatic rifles like the AR-15 to fire at a rate that mimics fully automatic fire, which is prohibited under Florida law.
The vendor was Skyeler “Bleau” Jackson of Texas. According to the sheriff’s office, Jackson told the undercover deputy the device could be easily installed on firearms and showed videos of guns firing in rapid succession. He reportedly offered the triggers at $300 each or $250 for bulk purchases. Jackson apparently told officers he had legal documents on his phone showing the devices were lawful, though deputies said they could not verify the claim due to the size of the files.
Critically, the arrest report states that Jackson acknowledged the legality issues of the device in Florida during the sale, telling the deputy he could install them legally if he were in Texas. That admission, authorities say, demonstrated awareness that the sale violated state law.
Jackson was arrested on the spot, and the device was seized as evidence. He now faces multiple weapons charges.
But Jackson is not going quietly. In a post on the Christian crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo, he pushed back forcefully against the prosecution. “I am being charged with possession and sale of Bump Stocks or ‘forced reset triggers.’ A law that is not only unconstitutional but also has never been used to charge ANYONE in the ten years since the law has been in place,” he wrote.
Jackson framed the arrest in explicitly political terms. “Because I am an outspoken advocate for America First and publicly challenge political corruption. They could have targeted anyone. They chose me. You could be next,” he continued, adding that his friends and family had been doxxed in the aftermath of his arrest.
This is a clear case of selective prosecution of a politically outspoken gun rights advocate and Jackson intends to make it a public fight.
The right to keep and bear arms is not a privilege granted by the government. It is a natural right affirmed by the Second Amendment and foundational to every other liberty Americans possess. Cases like this one should remind every citizen that when the state can selectively enforce obscure laws to punish disfavored speech and lawful commerce, no constitutional right is safe.
