Democrats are irate that the government shutdown is over. They believe that their relative success in the last election stemmed from their ability to blatantly lie about the causes of the shutdown, shift blame to Republicans, and turn those not receiving their government aid into a powerful voting bloc. Rather than actually help their voters, many Democrats believed that continuing the shutdown for future electoral success was the right move to make. As such, they are enraged that leadership allowed deviation from the platform from the 8 Democrat Senators who voted to end the shutdown.
This shift in attitude toward current Democrat leadership, especially that of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, is being led both from the progressive grassroots as well as from many more progressive Democrat leaders.
The radical left group known as “Indivisible,” funded by George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, has led the ground level attacks against Schumer.
“Chuck Schumer and a critical mass of Senate Democrats surrendered,” Ezra Levin, a co-founder and co-executive director of the Indivisible group, stated on Monday. “In these six weeks of the shutdown, Democrats had their best election night in over a decade.”
This of course says the quiet part out loud. That for the Democrats and their progressive allies, it is never about “helping” their voters but only a quest for more power to dismantle America.
Indivisible is launching a primary program, encouraging their supporters to oust Senator Schumer as well as the Democrat senators who voted for the funding bill.
However, Indivisible does not speak alone.
Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?

Representative Ro Khanna joined with progressive Democrat Senate candidates such as Michigan’s Mallory McMorrow, Iowa’s Zach Wahls and Maine’s Graham Platner in calling explicitly for the removal and replacement of Senator Schumer.
But Schumer isn’t the only prominent Democrat under assault by the progressive wing of their party.
Once again, Senator John Fetterman has found himself in the crossfire from progressives. This time, alongside 7 other Democrat caucus members who voted to end the shutdown. Fetterman however, despite representing his own unique style of radical left politics, has frequently been attacked by other progressives due to his stances on issues such as Israel, as well as his perceived friendliness with Republicans and criticisms of the vapid anti-Trump protests such as the “No Kings” international protests.
Democrats and progressives continue to eat their own at the top and ignore the needs of their voters at the bottom. Even when they win elections, they are unable to help themselves.
