The Russia-Ukraine War started under Sleepy Joe Biden, nearly 4 years ago, and for a conflux of reasons peace has yet to be seen. President Trump has made peace in the region a goal of his, but not everyone seems equally concerned with this goal.
Recently, the transcript of a conversation between US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Putin’s top foreign policy advisor, Yuri Ushakov was leaked to and published by Bloomberg News. The conversation entailed Witkoff coaching Ushakov on how Russia needs to approach negotiations with President Trump in order for there to be a successful peace deal.
“Here’s what I think would be amazing,” Witkoff explained in the transcript. “Maybe he says to President Trump: you know, Steve and Yuri discussed a very similar 20-point plan to peace and that could be something that we think might move the needle a little bit. We’re open to those sorts of things.”
The sensitive nature of the conversation means that a leak could be disastrous to lasting peace between the two former Soviet nations.

Indeed, this represents another subversion of national interest from the pro-war crowd which populates the deep state.
From 2016 onward, at every turn, the deep state has been interested in sabotaging President Trump and continuing the status quo. A narrative surrounding Russia and fabricated connections between Trump and Putin has been central to this sabotage.
By continuing to sabotage US-Russia relations as well as peace between Ukraine and Russia the deep state manages to continue to use Russia as a sledgehammer against President Trump and his policy objectives, all while promoting forever wars abroad.
