Just last year, there was no harsher critic of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the corrupt President of Ukraine, than my former longtime friend Laura Loomer, who posted dozens of accurate and concerning posts linking dangerous Nazi protestors near Orlando, Florida to military operatives in Ukraine, as well as general critiques of Ukraine and the rampant corruption that goes on in that nation.

Ukraine’s corruption, just a few years prior to Loomer’s reporting, had spilled over entirely into American politics. Zelenskyy had taken an estimated $180 Billion from the United States taxpayers under President Joe Biden, and was keen on getting more.

During the final push of the 2024 Election, Zelenskyy traveled to battleground state of Pennsylvania to campaign with Democrat Josh Shapiro, who was amongst the most active surrogates for the Harris-Walz campaign. You can see a video below of Zelenskyy signing bombs with Shapiro on September 23^rd, 2024, just weeks before the Presidential election.

The visit took place after the attempted assassination on President Donald Trump, and was an open attempt by one of America’s largest welfare recipients to keep the proverbial ‘gravy train’ coming to Ukraine. 

Zelenskyy’s action were a direct attack on President Donald Trump and his supporters, and a challenge to the demand from Republicans that Americans be the ones who decide whether or not the United States should get involved in yet another conflict involving Ukraine and Russia. 

There was no harsher critic of Zelenskyy, at this time, than Laura Loomer. Now Loomer is amongst Zelenskyy’s biggest cheerleaders. What’s changed?

On September 26^th, 2025, Loomer wrote, “Zelensky shaking hands with an Islamic terrorist who has murderer US soldiers is another reason to have disdain for @ZelenskyyUa. I don’t want any more of my tax dollars going to Ukraine. Ukraine is a country full of Nazi apologists and now it’s clearly a country led by a Jihadi apologist.”

The StoneZONE has compiled at least 10 other examples of Loomer making statements about her hatred of the “corruption” of Ukraine, and its criminal leader. What has changed so drastically in Laura Loomer’s mind to make her take a 180 degree reversal on Ukraine? Could Ukrainian operatives be paying her? 

On June 13^th, 2024, Loomer correctly pointed out that Zelenskyy, a grifter, never wears a suit, and criticized him for allowing Nazi-affiliated groups to serve in the Ukrainian military. She says, “Why is Zelensky always wearing the same stupid outfit? He has received over $400 BILLION from the US taxpayers against our own will. Can this fake “Jewish” actual Nazi go buy a suit? Would it kill him to dress with some respect? It’s just so obnoxious.”

On April 11^th, 2024, months prior to the X post shown above, Loomer talked more about Zelenskyy’s ties to the Azov Batallion and legitimate modern followers of Adolf Hitler. Loomer wrote, “Why are you so triggered by me pointing out that Zelensky is a Nazi Jew who has armed Nazis in Azov Batallion w/ our taxpayer money? Just like I can & will defend Israel from unwarranted attacks by jihadi lovers, I can also call out Nazi Jews like George Soros and @ZelenskyyUa.”

On November 16^th, 2023, going back a year earlier, Loomer talked about how Zelenskyy had swindled hundreds of billions of dollars away from American taxpayers. She said,  “Because Zelensky is a Nazi and Ukrainians have always hated the Jews. Nazism is widely accepted and practiced in Ukraine. We have given $250 Billion to fund Nazism. Nazis and Muslims have United. Ukrainian Nazis gave HAMAS weapons to use so they could slaughter Jews.”

On September 25^th, 2023, Loomer referred to Zelenskyy as a Nazi once again, writing, “Zelensky is a Nazi. Soros is Jewish too. And he’s also a Nazi. Soros is on video saying he has no regrets collaborating with Nazis during the Holocaust, just like Zelensky has no regrets honoring a Nazi in Canada with @JustinTrudeau. Perhaps these Kapos will atone for being Nazis today, given that it’s Yom Kippur. I say that myself, as a Jew.”

Back then, Laura Loomer even acknowledged that Volodymyr Zelenskyy looks as if he’s high at nearly every public speaking event, with ex-staff members having credibly alleged that he has an extreme problem with cocaine use, even abusing the substance.

Loomer appears blind to that drug use, as she continues to promote Zelenskyy’s effort to continue his war, and maintain his power.  On February 13^th, 2023, Loomer wrote, “No. @elonmusk is just smart enough to not start WW3. Ukraine should surrender. PS: We want our $120 BILLION back. I want Americans to have resources. I don’t care about Ukraine. America wants a refund ASAP. Tired of Zelensky snorting our tax $. He looks high as a kite.”

It's amazing that Loomer blatantly ignores the obvious drug habit of Zelenskyy when she once talked about how obvious it was to everyone watching. How did Laura Loomer’s thought process change so drastically? Could she have been paid? 

It wasn’t just before the second Trump Administration that Laura Loomer took a hardened stance against Zelenskyy and Ukraine. Just one year ago, Loomer referred to Zelenskyy as a criminal, writing on her X account on February 19^th, 2025, “It doesn’t take a geopolitical expert to know that our tax dollars were LAUNDERED in Ukraine. Why would you defend our tax payer dollars going to Zelensky so he can misappropriate our money and use it to fund Neo Nazi killers? I didn’t vote for that shit.”

In March of last year, Loomer doubled down on her ‘hatred’ of Zelenskyy, trashing those who were singing the praises of the Ukrainian President by writing, “Why is my entire timeline full of world leaders simping for Zelensky? Maybe they should all go to the front lines if they love Ukraine so much.”

If you were to see Laura Loomer talk about Ukraine in the present day, her statements and opinions are almost unrecognizable from those she held just one year ago, leading viewers asking the obvious question… what changed? 

How could Laura Loomer go from one of Ukraine’s harshest critics, rightfully pointing out its failed President’s abysmal track record of corruption and deceit, to one of its biggest cheerleaders in less than twelve months? 

Many have speculated that Loomer may be receiving direct payments from people associated with President Zelenskyy, though those reports are unverified, they might represent the only sensible answer as to how Loomer’s views on Ukraine shifted so radically in such a short amount of time.

President Donald Trump has recently bucked the establishment Republicans that Loomer now spends her time with, taking Zelenskyy on directly over his insistence that his deadly war with Russia continues, leaving thousands more to die on top of the millions that have already perished.

Given the death toll in this war, anybody pushing for its continuance is committing a true act of genocide. Should the war continue, there be no Ukrainians left within a very short period of time. 

Loomer’s pivot is evident of a general lack of morales that should be alarming to anybody that consumes her reporting, or vitriolic tweets. 

I once considered Laura Loomer a great friend, but today, in the face of her support of a war that has killed millions of young men, and her defiance of President Donald Trump in his attempts to end this war are simply disgusting.

While at one time Laura may have been a semi-decent reporter, any shred of truth that was present in her previous work now appears to have been sold. Whether that’s for money, or some kind of misunderstanding, we don’t really know.

What we do know is that Loomer’s defense of Zelenskyy is both disingenuous and  disgraceful.
