A 41-year old Virginia mother is dead after a Soros backed prosecutor released a violent illegal immigrant despite repeated warnings from law enforcement, Liberty Nation reported.
Steve Descano, the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fairfax County who received $650,000 from Soros funded groups during his campaign, dismissed charges against Abdul Jalloh and set him free. Jalloh, a native of Sierra Leone who entered the country illegally in 2012, had amassed more than 30 arrests since 2014 on charges including rape, malicious wounding, assault, drug possession, identity theft, trespassing, larceny, and firing a weapon. ICE had issued a detainer on Jalloh in 2020 and later a final removal order.
Fairfax County Police Major Jeff Mauro had warned Descano’s office on multiple occasions about how dangerous Jalloh was. The prosecutor declined to turn Jalloh over to ICE or prosecute him for his crimes. Instead, several recent charges were dismissed, and he was released.
The very next day, Jalloh was arrested for attempting to rob a liquor store. On February 23, he allegedly murdered Stephanie Minter, whose body was found at a bus stop in Hybla Valley, Virginia with multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
Steve Monahan, president of the Fairfax County chapter of the Virginia Police Benevolent Association, has been trying to recall Descano since 2023. Speaking to reporters, Monahan did not mince words.
“What bothers me about this case is the fact that this absolutely could have been prevented. Abdul Jalloh should have never been let out of incarceration. He should have been locked up. Stephanie Minter should be alive right now, and she’s not because (Commonwealth’s Attorney) Steve Descano’s office chose to release him back to the public.”
According to the US Sentencing Commission, 63.8 percent of federal violent offenders are rearrested later, indicating that violent criminals are more likely than not to reoffend when given the opportunity. Yet progressive jurisdictions continue to release dangerous individuals like Jalloh, often in places where George Soros has directed significant funding.
Minter’s death adds to a growing list of Americans killed by illegal aliens in recent years, including Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, Rachel Morin, and Melissa Powell.
As Stephanie’s family wrote in her obituary, “Stephanie’s passing is a lost felt throughout an entire family and a whole host of friends. Stephanie can best be described as a happy, jolly individual, filled with love and adoration for her loved ones. A beam of light in dark places.”
Stephanie Minter would be alive today if prosecutors like Steve Descano prioritized public safety over ideological posturing. Americans deserve officials who will cooperate with federal immigration enforcement and keep violent criminals behind bars where they belong. Until progressive prosecutors are removed from office and replaced with law and order candidates, and until our borders are sealed and interior enforcement fully restored, tragedies like this will continue to claim innocent American lives.
